The Trustees
The schools was founded in 1979 by the family of Chevalier P.J. Cherian, in his honor.
Our Trustees are Stella Varghese, Meera Rao, Merry Biju, Cherian Johnny and Ellikutti Cherian.

The Team
We are a close-knit community of students, parents, teachers, housekeeping staff, office staff, trustees and administrators!
The ~500 students and their families, ~30 teachers,
~10 housekeeping staff, ~5 office staff are led by
the Principal - Mrs. Beula Sheeba Rani and
the Correspondent - Dr. Radha Vasudevan.

Vidyaniketan is a low-fee school serving the children of a high-need community in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. The school constantly reinvents itself through various interventions to provide the students with an engaging and holistic education. It is our mission to ensure that a student’s economic status does not affect the quality of education and opportunities they have access to. Sponsorships and donations are the only means to sustain the quality of education that we strive to provide our students.
